And then Charlie start tidying himself up.

Stationery bits
On the Stationery Adjacent episode that releases on Wednesday 20th of August (Episode 199), Justin teased the return of a form of the bullet journal to his daily routine. This, at a time when I'm on a tidying rampage, flirting with minimalism and preparing my office for a new desk. Inevitably, I began to give my multiple notebooks a bit of side-eye. Be warned - more #bujo posts on their way.
Reading
Thoreau's "Civil Disobedience and Other Essays" were a decent quick read. It's a while since I read any essays. I polished off "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying" by Marie Kondo. See what I did there? Polished off? Immortality surely awaits. Is tidying changing my life? Maybe not. However, there is something to it. It feels good to have less clutter, to have a place for everything - at least in my spaces. In shared spaces, I'm being a little more circumspect. (Fear is a powerful motivator.) I've moved on to Abundance, by Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson. My #edc book: Is that a thing? A book that slips into my man-bag. My #edc book is "Letter from Birmingham Jail" by Martin Luther King. As trailed above, I'm also dipping into the "The Bullet Journal Method" by Ryder Carroll.
Home
Mrs L was discharged from hospital after eight days. Whilst the infection has been defeated, there's still no real clarity of precisely what it was and whence it came. Her infection/inflammation markers were sepsis level. Scary high. So, investigations continue - and none of them sound any fun.
Insurance claims are in the hands of the insurers. We can but wait. We're gradually replacing bits and pieces that we need, regardless of whether the insurers pay for them.
Digital
I'm experimenting with Vivaldi as my browser. It's privacy first, and comes out of Europe. I'm also trying Kagi - a paid search engine that delivers results without the need to sell advertising or my data.
That's enough from me. Have a cracking week, and be nice to everyone.
