Walking

Chilling

Last week, Mrs L and I spent a couple of days away at a hotel just a few kilometres away. We chilled by the pool, ate and drank well, and just took a fire-free breath. I also had a massage - but there will be more of that later in the week.

Golfing

I ended my summer holiday from golf this week, returning to action on Saturday. The front nine was, well, not good. Par on 9 holes is 18 points. So, I'm hoping for something between 15 and 21. I managed 5. Oh dear.

The back 9 was an improvement, netting me 15, so a total of 20. My worst score in a long time, but there's some momentum there.

Today, I played again, and this time returned 31 points. Still over par, but I'm liking the direction of travel.

Walking

Seven weeks from today, I will hopefully be finishing the Cancer Care 100 walk and having a quiet beer. Followed by several noisy ones. All three of the walking team are training where we can around work. Debbie and I are taking on long walks on Sundays, backed up with 10k shakeouts on a Tuesday. As the weather cools, I will start walking the golf course too. Getting km into the legs is important. To borrow from the military, "Train Hard: Fight Easy."

Shopping

My desk from Oakywood has shipped, and should be here this week.

Right - time to get the washing in. Have a fabulous week, keep smiling and be nice to each other.
