The Digest 27/04/25
What Ho! Welcome to another week. I write to you, another year older. Fifty-five, don't you know? How the hell did that happen? Last time I checked, I was in my late twenties, drinking far too much in Central Europe. The dangers of alcohol beverages that you can't pronounce, let alone digest.
Writing
Plumbing dominated my week, so much so that I whined about it again.
I did talk a bit about my weekly review process too.
Shopping
Inks arrived from Cult Pens. None tried yet, but they do look handsome on my bookshelves. Sports kit from Germany and books from England have disappeared into Cyprus Post. Hopefully, I'll get a note in the letter box this weekend or next, but I fear all the packages will be mired in the system somewhere and require rescuing, involving confused phone calls, drives to various post offices and patient queuing. Encouragement to buy local, I suppose.
Sporting
Undiscouraged by my lack of a padel bat/racket/stick (see above), I've played a couple of times this week. It's a mad game, one that I'm finding addictive. Below is an example of how the game should be played, which bears absolutely no resemblance to the way I play it.
Golf, I do know how to play, not that you would know it from my performances this week.
Surfing
Not much time on the internet this week - although I have been reading the New York Times, one of the few subscriptions worth the money in my opinion.
Keep smiling - and be nice to each other.
